May 2026 – Part-Time Appraisal Assistant – NJ Farmland Preservation Program $40 – $60 per hour

The State Agriculture Development Committee (SADC) is seeking an assistant to support its Certified General Real Estate Appraisers in reviewing, tracking, and processing farmland preservation appraisals. This position involves managing appraisal reports and databases, preparing meeting materials, ensuring program compliance, and coordinating communication between landowners, appraisers, and county boards. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, the ability to perform on-site farm visits, a working knowledge of real estate appraisal principles, and USPAP standards. Preference will be given to candidates with prior appraisal experience or a specific background in New Jersey’s farmland preservation valuation program.

1). Appraisal Reviewer TD Bank
• Requires extensive experience reviewing complex commercial real estate
appraisals, including office, mixed-use, industrial, multifamily, special-purpose
properties, data centers, and portfolio assignments. Ensures compliance with
Federal Regulatory Guidelines, TD Bank Appraisal Policy, Interagency Appraisal &
Evaluation Guidelines, and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal
Practice (USPAP). Prepares internal evaluations using industry and market data and
reviews vendor-prepared evaluations. Proficiency with ARGUS and RIMS preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in the Metropolitan New York real estate market, including
the Five Boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and Northern New Jersey
Counties.
• MAI designation or equivalent experience required. New York and New Jersey State
Certification required. Banking experience is preferred, with working knowledge of
Lending, Credit, Portfolio Management, and Syndications.
• Provides market intelligence and Appraisal Policy guidance to Lending and Credit
teams. Supports and participates in in-house Appraisal Training initiatives across
the Bank.
• Ability to prioritize and organize assignments in a busy work environment.

2). Commercial Real Estate Review Appraiser (Remote, Full-Time)
Santander Mid-Atlantic Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Department

Santander is a Commercial Real Estate Review Appraiser to join our Mid-Atlantic Region Appraisal Department.
Key Requirements:
• 5+ years of commercial real estate appraisal review experience within a bank (required)
• State Certified General Appraiser in at least one of the following States is required: (NY, NJ, PA, DE, or MD)
• Experience reviewing diverse property types (multifamily, office, industrial, special use)
• Strong knowledge of FIRREA and USPAP
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field (preferred)
• MAI designation (a plus)
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Compensation:
$110,000 – $130,000 (based on experience, credentials, and location)
